“I have seen Dr. Zoe Caliendo for physical therapy and for coaching (climbing for bouldering season). I initially sought out Dr. Caliendo for help with a bicep strain that made climbing difficult. Dr. Caliendo assessed my mobility and also asked questions related to my climbing goals. During our PT sessions she worked the soft tissue within and around the area of the bicep and shoulder and scapular region and provided exercises that I could assess on my mobile device that would strengthen my back and shoulder to correct the overarching problem that led to my bicep strain. Her PT work helped to improve my overall strength as well as increase my mobility. She was and is a pleasure to work with.

In addition, to PT work, Dr. Caliendo serves as my climbing coach. It has been nice to have a structured plan that helped to build my base prior to moving into strength and power. While I initially was tired starting this program (lack of base), I now feel stronger than I have in the past. I look forward to the outdoor climbing season as ski season ends and am excited to get out on the rock for some hard projects with this new training regimen under my belt.”

“I was referred to Zoe by a friend of mine since I had been feeling that my backcountry skiing and climbing weren't progressing at the rate I wanted, and they knew it wasn't easy to find a PT with specific knowledge to the sports I'm interested in.
Zoe went over my experiences, goals, and some previous injuries and has consistently come up with ridiculously creative training plans for me with my limited home weights. I feel stronger than ever and my climbing and skiing show it, and added bonus I'm injury free. Woop Woop!”

“I could write a novel here but I’ll keep it short! Zoe diagnosed my ankle issue after I’d spent TWO YEARS seeing physical therapists and even an orthopedic surgeon—and she did it on the FIRST visit. It turns out that the way I was running was compressing my outer ankle and causing the really sharp pain I’d been feeling when running. She gave me some easy exercises to do at home and worked with me on changing the way I walk and run.

My pain didn’t come back after my first visit with her, and all it took was her taking the time to ask the right questions, do some tests, as well as a running assessment—which no other PT had done before her! Plus, she texted me to check in on my exercises after our visit. It’s clear that she’s knowledgeable and incredibly passionate about what she does. She’s now helping me with some back issues I’ve been struggling with for years and I’d highly recommend her to anybody!”

“To start I have never had a bike professionally fit before but after Zoe was done with all her adjustments it truly feels like a new bike!
All of my little aches and pains on long rides are now a thing of the past.
What really stood out to me is that Zoe is so knowledgeable and is very keen on sharing her knowledge with anyone that wants to learn and better their biking experience.
I plan on have big my mountain bike fit as well!”

“I received training from Dr. Caliendo after completing PT post knee-surgery. We had our training session virtually and it worked out great! Super convenient and she was still able to accurately assess my movements. Her program helped me target my workouts to continue building strength and confidence in my knee. I injured my knee three months before a mountaineering trip to Ecuador and decided to reach out to Zoe to see if she could help. She curated an amazing PT schedule for me to build up my knee in preparation for the trip. We’d meet weekly and go over exercises via her online platform which was very engaging and felt like we were working together in person!

Steadily I saw improvement in my knee which allowed me to train hard leading up to climbing big mountains. I am pleased to report I had absolutely no knee pain and felt the best I ever climbing above 19,000 ft several times! I can’t recommend Zoe enough when it comes to working through injuries for climbing, hiking, mountaineering or any other mountain sports!

“I had a great experience with Zoe. She listens well and doesn't read from a script- that way she adjusts her skill set to meet your specific needs. I went to her with a climbing specific finger injury, but I know her skill set covers a wide area of expertise.”

“Zoe really cares and it shows when you work with her! Even over a remote session, she immediately spotted my areas of muscle weakness which contributed to my knee pain and quickly came up with a plan to rebuild the strength and get me on the road to recovery. Highly recommend her services!”
